- Sponsors: Edwardus Mesger and Mandina Mesger
- I have chosen to accept this as the baptism record of my great-grandfather
Louis Mesker, even though it contains several discrepancies:
- Surname Mesger, instead of Mesker
- It is not unusual for surname spellings to vary in the records
- Birthdate 10-Nov-1870 instead of 05-Mar-1870, the birthdate
given in my father's records
- I cannot find a record of anyone named Louis Mesker, or
anything similar, born in 1870
- Mother's maiden name looks something like "Rolv" instead
of "Laborn"
- In these church records, I have never observed Elizabeth
Laborn's surname spelled the same way twice

- I have chosen to use the spelling "Mühlheisler" from among the many variant spellings of this surname, because it appears to be the most prevalent spelling in the Soufflenheim civil records in the 1800's, when spellings became more stabilized. To demonstrate that Margaretha Mühlheisler (who married Matheus Götz in 1760) belongs the same Mühlheisler family who appears in the Soufflenheim civil records in the 1800's, here is a connection:
