Anna Balthasar and her Husband Joseph Voegele in the 1890's
This is a digital family photo album. It contains many of the earliest photographs of our family, dating back to the mid-1800's. The photographs are from the family album that belonged to our ancestor Anna Regina Balthasar. Anna was born in Buffalo, New York, in 1864. In 1890 she married Joseph Voegele (1862-1934) of Lancaster, New York, and she lived in Lancaster until her death in 1937. Most of the people pictured in Anna's album are members of the Balthasar family — Anna's parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In adapting Anna's album for the intenet, I have, wherever possible, added notes to each photograph describing the people pictured — who they are, when they were born, whom they married, how they are related to us, and other facts that might be of interest. This information is the result of family history research that my mother, my sister Kathryn, and I have been conducting, with the help of many relatives.
