- We think they [Henry Snider and his nephew Francis Raymond Mesker Snider]
lived near Moosejaw,Sask. We also think there was a wife who died when
Dad [Francis Raymond Mesker Snider] was small. They lived in a sod shanty
out on the prairie. My dad left when he was about 13. We're not sure but
think Uncle Bud was the one who started looking for his siblings. I do
know that Grandpa [Henry Snider] stayed with us one summer when we lived
on a farm in Waynesburg,Oh. (I was maybe 4) He had a bad infection on
his ear which my mom tried to take care of but he wouldn't see a doctor.
Later this was treated but had spread to his brain. I guess this caused
his death. I vaguely remember my dad going to his funeral.
