During the course of researching my Mesker and Schneider family history, I hope to make contact with distant cousins. So far, I have encountered several:

 

Karen Eastwood, Ph.D.

Karen Eastwood contacted me in July, 2002, after a friend of hers pointed out my website. She is my father's second cousin. Our common ancestors are Jacob Schneider and Sophia Drummer. This is Karen's lineage:

  1. Jacob Schneider (1832-1912) and Sophia Drummer (1839-1879)
  2. Barbara Schneider (1867-1937), married Edward C. Oswald (1870-1951)
  3. Edward C. Oswald (1905-1986), married Dorothy Donovan (1911-2001)

Lesa Bobst

Lesa Bobst found this website in July, 2004, during a Google search. She is my third cousin. Our common ancestors are Frank Mesker and Elizabeth Laborn. Lesa's ancestors are:

  1. Frank Mesker (1842-1914) and Elizabeth Laborn (1841-1907)
  2. Matilda Mesker (1868-1951), married Willard Bobst (1867-?)
  3. Alfred J. Bobst (1903-?), married Frances McDonald

Norm and Karen Findlay

Norm contacted me in November, 2004, after reviewing the Welland County information on this website. His wife Karen is my fourth cousin. Our common ancestors are Peter Schneider and Barbara Klein. Here is Karen's lineage:
