This page lists names found in the Soufflenheim microfilm records. My search of these microfilm reels is neither complete nor thorough. I searched only for the names that appear in my family history, such as VOEGELE (VÖGELE), MILLER (MÜLLER), GOETZ (GÖTZ), and NUWER (NUBER). My interest in these names varies across time periods; for example, I have less interest in GOETZ births after about 1800. I have little interest in any records after the 1840's, when my family left Soufflenheim and came to the United States. The old records are handwritten and many are very hard to read and translate. No doubt I have made many errors in transcribing them. If you find any names here that seem to be of interest to you, I recommend that you visit a Family History Center, where you will be able to order the microfilm reel and look at it yourself. If you discover an error in my work please let me know.

On a separate page, I have attempted to assemble some of these names into families. See Soufflenheim Microfilm Families.

For the records below, I identify the microfilm number where the record can be found. For some of the records, I also identify the volume and page number within the microfilm reel. The page numbers in some of the documents are inconsistent. So if I list "p.18" as the page number, please be aware that there might be several page 18's within the same reel and volume. In later years, each record was individually numbered with a year. For example, the births in 1823 were numbered "No. 1", "No. 2", "No. 3", etc. I have copied those numbers here as #1, #2, #3, etc.

If some of the dates on this page, such as 06-Nivo-y.2, look strange, it's because they are from the French Republican Calendar. The people of France used this calendar during the years that we commonly call 1793-1805.

If you have researched the Soufflenheim records, and would like to contribute your findings to this page, please contact me.
