It appears that this photograph was taken on the same day at the same place as two other photographs: Photo F2 of Anna Balthasar's family album, and the photo of Catherine Ott Voegele. Notice that the wooden structure visible in the left background of this photograph appears to be the one that appears in the individual photograph of Catherine.

The woman in black, seated third from the left, is Catherine Ott Voegele (1825-1908). Two over from Catherine to her right, wearing the vest and bow tie, is Catherine's son, Joseph Voegele (1862-1934). To the right of Joseph is his wife, Anna Balthasar Voegele (1864-1937). Standing in front of Anna is her daughter, Josephine Voegele (1897-1991), who married Frank Staebell. Sitting on the ground in front of Anna is her son Joseph H. Voegele (1896-1948).

According to my grandmother, the other seven people are "members of Louis Ott family." They are probably the children of Catherine's brother Louis (1816?-1896). According to the 1900 census, these five adult children of Louis lived together in the same household in West Seneca (which is where Gardenville is located):

The members of this household, four women and one man, do not match perfectly with this photograph, which pictures five women and two men. Louis Ott had two other sons, Louis John Ott (1856-1935) and Frank (born 1866), so maybe one of them is pictured here. Or perhaps the extra man is a friend of the family or another relative. As for the fifth woman in the photo, Louis had four other daughters, and it might be one of them: Helen (born 1857 or 1858), Matilda (born 1860 or 1861), Elizabeth (born 1870), Lucy (born 1875 or 1876).

This photograph is from the photo collection of my mother, Alice Staebell Smith.
