A photograph of the schoolhouse in Corinne, Michigan, where Alice Gregg attended school. The word "Alice" has been written above Alice.

The second photo is an enlargement from the first photo. Alice is the tall girl.

On the front of the photograph these words are written: "Corinne, Mich. Miss Dun, teacher." On the back of the photograph these words are written: "Corinne Michigan school picture. Miss Sadie Dunn teacher."

According to the "Curtis and Gould City Area" website at www.curtismi.com, Corinne is a ghost town today. Here is what the site has to say on the page www.curtismi.com/attractions/soolocks_ghosttowns/lighhouses_ghosttowns.htm:

Corinne - West of Gould City, an old store and boarding house has been restored. Was once a Corinne supply Co. in town, henceforth the name, though was called Vine or Viola on the maps.

The original of this photograph is in the possession of Alice's daughter, Leola Smith Chrysler. I made a scanned image copy of it in February, 2001.
