The second photo is an enlargement from the first photo.
Spanish American War soldiers. On the flag are the words "W.E. Clark. Post." The two men standing on the far right are Bert Smith and his brother Will Smith. The name "Will" has been written next to the man standing on the far right. The name "Bert" has been written next to the man standing second from the right. In the margin of the photo these words were written: "Dad and Bert." Also written in the margin, but harder to read, are these words: "Sons of Civil War veteran."
The original of this photograph is in the possession of Will's daughter, Leola Smith Chrysler. I made a scanned image copy of it in February, 2001.
