If you copy these photographs or text to your own
family history or into any other work,
please add the appropriate credit.
For example:
"The source of this photograph is
the Genealogy of Brian J. Smith at
www.smithancestry.com."

  1. Written on the back of this photo is: "William Egbert Smith." Then in another hand is written: "World War I."
  2. Written on the back of this photo is: "William Egbert Smith on K.P. duty, World War #2." There is a checkmark next to the head of the third man standing from the right - this is Bill Smith.
  3. Written on the back of this photo is: "Bill Smith Jr. in Panama, World War I" There is a checkmark next to the head of the man waving the potato - this is Bill Smith.
  4. The fourth photo is an enlargement from the first photo.
  5. The fifth photo is an enlargement from the second photo.

I believe these photographs are all from World War II, even though the writing on two of them claim that they are from World War I. Bill appears to be in his forties, which would date them in the 1940's.

These photographs belonged to Bill's sister, Leola Smith Chrysler. The originals of the photos are currently in my possession.
