Written on the back of this photo: "William Egbert Smith, Manitique, Mich."
He looks about seven years old here, which would be about 1907. The Smith family moved from Michigan to Washington in 1908.
This photograph belonged to Bill's sister, Leola Smith Chrysler. The original of the photo is currently in my possession.
